I have an 02 7.3 and remember hearing someone talk about the kit. I guess the official name is severe service kit or something like that. I know it can be ordered through Ford but was wondering if any of you had used it and if it gave you any more performance or just better filteration? Thank you.

u guys dont push those at the dealer, especially when the factory box has the lock tabs broken?????

i have installed dozens of them, and every customer that has come back has been pleased with it from both a longevity, and a fuel/economy gain.........Marc

fill me in, what does the kit do?
it is the exact same element type as the 6.0, in a configuration to fit in the 7.3. they did not gain popularity as i thought they would have, they are about four or five years old (since introduction).......the flow considerably more air than the paper filter and are about three quarters as efficient as most aftermarkets with twice the filtration.......
