I was going up a large grade in my F350 when all of the sudden I felt like i lost my turbo i had no power and i could not hear the turbo only a jake break sound from the motor I just had the 06e17 recall done I just bought the truck and now it seems to be running ok but the check engine light is on the truck has been sitting since december only started up about 3 or 4 times since dec. I wanted to know if this is normal from sitting or from the recall or do i had a potential problem?

you have a problem. You're turbo is potentially trashed from sitting so long. If you have any mods uninstall them and go back to stock then take her in to the dealer. let us know how you make out. good luck and welcome!

It hasn't happened since, but now my check engine light is on and will not go away. I don't have a code checker, and there is no mods on the truck exept the muffler delete. I still have the cat. I'm going to make an appointment today to see about getting it checked. Thank you for the reply:thumb:

Yeah, you never want to let these trucks sit like that. Drive it atleast once a week, and get on it pretty good to keep everything good and lose and working the way it should. Take it in and get them to go over it, and once you get it back, drive it some. They are lots of fun to drive...dont be shy :)
