my friend just got the 1999 7.3 and all he has is a muffler delete but comes with a stock intercooler, mine has 4 inch exhaust tuner and intake but his is still quite a bit faster does the intercooler make that big of a difference
his 99 is faster than your 95? he also has a gt38r turbo, and a different set up with injectors, i beleive he has split shots and you have single shots, the 99's are a bit faster stock for stock but if you have a chip then i have no idea as to why he is beaten you like that, sounds like he has more than a muffler delete
I can eat our E99 for lunch, mine obviously isnt stock anymore lol. Not saying it isnt possible, but if you got a not quite up to snuff injector or 2 in your 95 ish obs that SD is going to seem like a rocket
You can... but as has been stated, they are split shots. They require tuning to make work, and they dont pump as much fuel (and are quieter... boo) than our single shots.
Theres no point every injector modder out there goes to single shot. Unless you never want to upgrade past stock sd injectors then yes its worth to spend the $$ other then that no

Either he has more done to the truck than he knows about or hes faster on the go pedal than you are :hehe:.... IC is in place to keep your EGTs down, power increases are minimal if any. Its designed to keep you from burning up your turbo.
Also an Edge isn't really gonna get you much, just canned tunes. Ditch that thing and get yourself a chip from Tony.
No, its the same exact motor just with a bigger turbo and different injectors (if stock). One of the big differences is the SD 7.3 motors have electric fuel where the OBS trucks have a mech fuel pump, so he is likely getting much better fuel PSI.
Sd trucks have 110cc Splitshots, designed to give more fuel flow but satisfy the emissions police. OBS trucks have 90cc singleshots. Both flow almost the same fuel.
ha ha i dont have that chuck of change yet i just spent my paycheck replacing the powersteering gear box and a tierod end
