I just towed a tractor/loader/backhoe (about 6500 lbs) through the mountains in western North Carolina, and I'm happy as a clam that I bought a diesel. I had to watch my speed to make sure I wasn't accelerating UP all but the steepest mountains. My previous truck was a Chevy 3500 with a 454, and this PowerStroke just blows it away. The stock power is just outrageous. My EGTs got to 1200 degrees at most (and only for short bursts), and the tranny temps never got over 180.
Now I've just got to put on the MBRP exhaust I have sitting in the garage.
We forgot to mention that once you start putting bigger/better/faster toys on your rig, it only makes you want more!!! Glad you like the diesel man. Have fun!
Sounds like you're enjoying your truck - how do you like the exhaust??? I love the sound of my MBRP! and umm, that "hole" you drove into (with the Mog) looked more like a grave!!!
