Just got back from the shop. Glad I paid them to install the exhaust. Beat sitting on my snow covered driveway! The stock exhaust must have weighed 250lbs with all the emmission crap. First impression was very impressed. No droning. The motor is still quiet but the turbo is very impressive. At idle its very docile. Hit the gas and its a beast! All three tunes are nuts, although I plan on keeping it on the mild setting. I love the fact that you can adjust for tire size as well, as Im running 37" tires. The pro flo exhaust had to be cut and welded. Fit was not the best so Im glad I had a shop do it. Only cost me $225 for everything installed so I'd gladly pay that again. MPG is already going up. Will update on that.

H&S are working on the tire size calibaration for our fords for tires bigger than 34's.

So the final answer is 34"?? Thats dissapointing, I had heard 35" and figured that would be close enough to my tires. I do know that 08-10 trucks the dealer could adjust to pretty much any tire size and the 11's are limited to the stock tire size options. I wonder if that has some thing to do with the H&S tuning. I hope they have it figured out in a month when Im pulling the trigger

Tire size capabilities have nothing to do with our tuning, it is merely the limits of the ECM's internal programming. The 2008-2010 had much more room to play with, whereas the new 2011 ECM's do not. We are in the process of finding a work around, and are confident we can do so, but for now 35" is the biggest size we can adjust it to.

I haven't noticed any difference in my tranny shifting since H&S hasn't done any tranny tunning in their tuner for our truck yet. They are still working on that also

after the download the tray needs to "re-learn" from what i understand.
that may be why

Ernie, what size exhaust did you go with? Also, did you straight pipe it or are you running a muffler?

I had no trouble with the fitment on my 5" dp back flo-pro.I did wind up cutting about 4" off the tail pipe so my tip would tuck nice and neat.

My tuner only currently adjusts to 34" tires also.

Darn thing sounds pretty good though. Not as loud and obnoxous as my 6.0 but the 6.7 will talk to you with the straight pipe.

I believe if memory serves, its 34". I have the muffler with dpf delete. What started good, is goin down hill. Tonight I got a C.E.L. and ran the diagnostic check with engine off, like it states, and the mini maxx doesn't even pick it up. Lovely.

Updating the tuner should fix the issue with your tuner not reading your CEL. There are numerous DTC routines, and we had to update the tuner to pick them all up. We have not had any issues since the update. Let us know if you have any issues with the new version, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Nothing was cut or welded on the stock exhaust. That all came off fine. The pro flo must have been meant for a long bed because it was too long so it had to be cut down.
As far as the map sensor, where is that? I have the most recent software. Thanks.

Ernie,
My selection parameters on the unit itself go up to 39"

I have no doubt about the power. I am really curious about the mileage though. Per the dash (which I know isn't accurate just using it as a base line) I get 14-15 doing 60mph or 10-11 mpg at 75-80. Keeping in mind I'm on 37" tires so I'm going a bit faster. I hand calculated the other day and while the dash said 13.5 mpg I actually got like 12mpg.

I'm so on the fence about pulling the trigger on the Maxx and FloPro 5" (no muffler) delete. I'm just worried about the warranty (i'll have to get over that) and that Maryland is supposedly starting emissions on diesels in 2013. I guess it's reversible, but I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy swapping it every 2 years...

all depends if they want to put the diesels on the rollers, they should just do a obd2 check. thats why i haven't got a new truck my 04 has no emissions, but it's getting tempting
