How much boost should I make? Boost leak?

I have an early 99 with a ts6 pos chip, diy intake, and a dynomax race muffler. No matter if I have the chip on 50,75,100,140 I can't seam to get more then maybe 22lbs of boost and when cruising around town or on the freeway I only see around 3-5psi... I installed my glowshift boost gauge last weekend with a t fitting on the map line. I also did an overboost deal from dfuser. I installed the dfuser between the map and my boost t fitting on the map line. Is this correct?
If it is most likely that I have a boost leak where/how should I start looking?
Thanks guys

forgot to add the red line was disconnected already. Is it not kosher to drive like this?

Bump. What should my cruising boost be? I doubt I get more then 5 psi on the freeway unless I speed up to pass or hit a hill.

If you do have a boost leak its a small one. I can hit 30 psi on the 100hp setting, cruising on flat ground at 70 is usually between 1-4 psi. I would try just tightening all the clamps and see if that helps.

Well if that's what your getting then maybe I don't have a boost leak and the lower max boost could just be that I have an early 99..? I don't know if the early 99 made less boost or not, I would guess yes with the smaller turbo housing.

I got on it last night and I only saw 20psi max no matter what setting I was on... Guess I better check those clamps.

theres a lot of guys, including me, that didnt get an accurate reading by tying into the MAP line. I did that to start with and only saw 8-10 lbs. so I drilled and tapped it into my y-pipe and am seeing around 35.

GS 3in1 (for over 1 1/2 years) here also E99 all I see for bost is 20-22 and she only has 33,000 on her w/no leaks. so yes the map line is less acc. but many manf's put it there from factory so :dunno:.

my 02 never boosted more than 22 psi and cruising i was lucky to push 6 sounds about accurate with your readings a friend of mines 99 is the same way

Im using glowshift to, have been for over a year and no problems. I tried to blame the gauge when I was only making 9 psi at WOT, but turns out I had leaking clamps and donut gaskets.
With that being said, OP if tightening the clamps doesnt help then its time to look for holes in the intercooler boots. If thats not it then you can move on to donut gaskets.
Heres my story haha: http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/99-03-7-3l-general-discussion/141534-finally-got-boost.html
