Muffler Air Flow

So there is a guy with a PSD who I know from work that has his muffler mounter reversed. Yes, I said reversed. Can this help with air flow? As far as warranty goes it looks like you have a muffler, but is there the same resistance? His exhaust sound different than everyone else I've heard...
Just another off the wall thing from upside world...lol

Some mufflers can be reversed. One way it lessens the volume, the other way flows better, but still takes the drone away. It is about the orientation of the baffle louvres; one way they scoop the moving air, the other way they allow it to pass though with less restriction

I mounted a used Thrush glass pack backwards (didn't know which end was which) in a '79 Granada with a 302. It had a weird whistling sound when I reved it. It almost sounded like I was squeeling tires when I took off hard.
Might not go with this thread, but I forgot all about it until now. Besides, do not mount a glass pack backward, you'll lose a few mpg...
