LOL... You just totaly screwed your buddy... HE HAD the best turbo diesel motor on the market... Now he has the most expesive one on the market to mod... I hope he doesnt kick you in the nuts when he goes to get injectors...

Lets see... $300 for a set of 100hp injectors for a 5.9 or $2000 for a set on a PSD... AND the 5.9 will still have more HP.....

If I were you, I would invest in a cup... cuz he is going to kick your nuts into your gut...

Thats a pretty good one Joe. But all in all he did get him to buy the all around better truck

O I agree... the 5.9 is the best diesel you can get... Just a shame its wrapped in a ****e box truck...

 The 5.9 is the best diesel? I will try to remember that as I pass all of them in the mountains (loaded heavy). 207,000 and still kickin dodge butt. I could not ask for a better worker than the 7.3 I am driving now anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 a week with more than half of them loaded. Still strokin past the Dodges.

Keep telling yourself that... I'm not bashing... Just remember what one has a 500k rebuild time... compared to ours 300k... and then look at the injectors... and then look at the turbos... and then look at the HP and TQ curves... If your passing them its because they dont want to go any faster...LOL

I agree with you CSIPSD. I had an 01 5.9 I some time wounder why I got rid of it. OH YEA the tranny was a pic a shat. The 7.3 that I now have though I a much be truck all around. I also had an 06 5.9 with a stick. It lived at the dealership. It had so many thing replaced on it I dont even know where to start. Do have to say that when it did run it out pulled any Ford that I have ever owned. But you can't pull from the service rack!!

LOL you dont see me driving a DODGE... I Bleed blue too, but truth is truth LOL Mine pulls everyday just fine for me... But it would be nice to win a dyno event EVER...LOL

Have not got into too many mods or played much with mine, just A dang great work truck. A driver told me the other day that Dodge and Cummins had a fallin' out and Cummins would be going into the Fords. But then again you can never believe a truck driver, lol:rolleyes:

the only reason he bougt the ford is because he works at a ford dealer ship as a diesel mechanic he get lots of parts for cheap of free sometimes and he knows how to work on them. but he still has an old 95 12v sittin in the back yard

I work at a company that has 4 dodges with the cummins in them. Our newest is an 09 and the oldest is a 99. We use them to haul all the time. Not particuarly heavy loads and the trailers are always emty one way. None of these trucks has ever got better than 13 to 14 mpg, and all of us with our powerstrokes hate to use them because they feel under powered. I'll take my Ford any day.
