After a while I get bored with things way to easily. I just polished the rear section of my exhaust, and had the whole front windsheild tinted 45% (yes it looks awesome and still very visable), but now that is old to me and need something else to spice it up. 08 tail lights will be here tueday and will have them smoked and put on as well as the mirror lights but there needs to be more.
So here is my question to you fellas.....
Would you paint the outer shell the same color as truck and leave the center chrome (like the H-D trucks) or would you leave it alone?
Black housing headlights or color matched blue headlights?
bullbar or no bullbar?
**The poll is set up as multiple choice so you can choose the 3 out of 6 questions I have provided. Thanks for voting. This is the best way to get some numbers on the thoughts I have juggling in my brain!
Pic of my truck now...
Pics of what grille would look with outer shell painted blue and center still chrome...

Dude, I have the solution. Get in that fabulous looking PSD & drive it to Colorado. There, I will meet you with mine. I hand you my keys & you hand me yours. You willl have a new project truck & I will be driving that beautiful blue truck, singing all the way, without a bored bone in my body!!
Deal?
Very sweet looking ride there sir. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing, just get another hobby.:dunno:
That's exactly what I"m saying ^^^^^^ :agree:
I'm about to do a write-up on color matching headlights, so you might do that?? (And I
haven't found a write-up on it yet and have been searching for a while)

See, there's another one.
But they don't have all the info with everything you need and pics of every step.
I think I'll still do a write-up "Ben Style".. lol.
I get waaay too detailed sometimes but that's a good thing I guess.
Alright, the lights are headed to the oven tomorrow after class so expect the thread around Wed. once everything dries out.
I'll post a link into this thread
Thanks for the votes guys. I pulled the bullbar off Friday and so far I like it without it as well. It lets you focus more on the front end of the truck as a whole instead of focusing in on the bullbar. Now for the grille, idk yet. But the headlights will be getting done this week blue and black for sure.
good idea on the bull bar. if you paint the grille, the bumper needs to be painted too. after removing the bar, i'd leave it alone tho. good looking rig
Personally, I would PTM the grill shell and the bumper, along with the hadlights. Color-matched bumpers and whatnot give a much cleaner look IMO :thumb:
Thanks fellas. I do not want to paint the lower chrome part of the bumper (powdercoat actually) b/c then with that and the outer shell of the grille painted it will look like just another blue harley truck. Plus then id have to get the rear bumper painted (powdercoated) blue as well. I like how the chrome front bumper and rear bumper flow together. So while I think painting the outer rim of shell on grille would look good, it would really need the bumpers blue as well. So I think just doing the headlights and the removal of the bullbar will be just fine. Thanks again.

Glad you lost the bull bar ... it takes too much away from the sleek look. I've got a KC light bar on mine ... it sits much higher and flows with the front end nicely ... but that's as far as im prepared to go ... i don't want to take away " that look "
I am very interested to see the lights after you color match them ... please post some pics when you're done. AWESOME RIDE ... you have impeccable taste ... especially as my truck's the same color ! Lol
I agree I'm not a fan of the Bull bar, if you need a place to put lights I like the Smittybuilt light bar looks a bit more rugged like a 4by is supposed to. Your truck would look killer if the headlights were color matched too, other than that she's a beauty. IMO
