After a while I get bored with things way to easily. I just polished the rear section of my exhaust, and had the whole front windsheild tinted 45% (yes it looks awesome and still very visable), but now that is old to me and need something else to spice it up. 08 tail lights will be here tueday and will have them smoked and put on as well as the mirror lights but there needs to be more.

So here is my question to you fellas.....

Would you paint the outer shell the same color as truck and leave the center chrome (like the H-D trucks) or would you leave it alone?

Black housing headlights or color matched blue headlights?

bullbar or no bullbar?

**The poll is set up as multiple choice so you can choose the 3 out of 6 questions I have provided. Thanks for voting. This is the best way to get some numbers on the thoughts I have juggling in my brain!

Pic of my truck now...

Pics of what grille would look with outer shell painted blue and center still chrome...

Ok, thanks.
Leave it alone.
:thumb: That would save some money lol.

Dude, I have the solution. Get in that fabulous looking PSD & drive it to Colorado. There, I will meet you with mine. I hand you my keys & you hand me yours. You willl have a new project truck & I will be driving that beautiful blue truck, singing all the way, without a bored bone in my body!!
Deal?

Very sweet looking ride there sir. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing, just get another hobby.:dunno:
LOL, I got a good laugh out of this!
That's exactly what I"m saying ^^^^^^ :agree:
I'm about to do a write-up on color matching headlights, so you might do that?? (And I
haven't found a write-up on it yet and have been searching for a while)
I found one last night, I will post it for you.
dont paint the shell LOL ill trade you!
Haha...
The bullbar is pointless, get rid of it.
Could use it for getting slow cars out of your way, but mine is a little too tall for that lol. But yea it is more or looks than anything.
If anything, lose the bullbar. I've never been a fan of those.
10-4.
yea, loose the bull bar, sell me your bumper and get a painted one
Hummmm, now that was not a option!
You're trying to come out on-top with this deal aren't you???
haha :poke
Yes he is!!

I love ppl like you that know how to multi-quote. lol! ^^^^^^
Thx for the thread. I'm starting TOMORROW!! YAYAYAAAAA..

And ya man, your truck is freaking sweet. I wouldn't go changing too many things.
If it doesn't turn heads as-is, it won't ever.. lol

That's actually the thread I'm going off of, I'll prolly just make another b/c I have nothing to do and I'll prolly make mine a bit more detailed.

See, there's another one.
But they don't have all the info with everything you need and pics of every step.
I think I'll still do a write-up "Ben Style".. lol.
I get waaay too detailed sometimes but that's a good thing I guess.

Well get to writing so I can follow your steps, I agree that more detailed with pics would be great. Worthy of a sticky I think!
Leave it alone. Doing anything else to that truck is like a gorgeous woman getting a tattoo. It's already a 10.
Haha, that is a great analogy man, thanks tho!
Do the harley grill and headlights. After that leave it alone. That truck looks even more badazz in person:thumb:
Thanks Dave, I appreciate that!

Thanks for the votes guys. I pulled the bullbar off Friday and so far I like it without it as well. It lets you focus more on the front end of the truck as a whole instead of focusing in on the bullbar. Now for the grille, idk yet. But the headlights will be getting done this week blue and black for sure.

Personally, I would PTM the grill shell and the bumper, along with the hadlights. Color-matched bumpers and whatnot give a much cleaner look IMO :thumb:
Thanks fellas. I do not want to paint the lower chrome part of the bumper (powdercoat actually) b/c then with that and the outer shell of the grille painted it will look like just another blue harley truck. Plus then id have to get the rear bumper painted (powdercoated) blue as well. I like how the chrome front bumper and rear bumper flow together. So while I think painting the outer rim of shell on grille would look good, it would really need the bumpers blue as well. So I think just doing the headlights and the removal of the bullbar will be just fine. Thanks again.

Glad you lost the bull bar ... it takes too much away from the sleek look. I've got a KC light bar on mine ... it sits much higher and flows with the front end nicely ... but that's as far as im prepared to go ... i don't want to take away " that look "
I am very interested to see the lights after you color match them ... please post some pics when you're done. AWESOME RIDE ... you have impeccable taste ... especially as my truck's the same color ! Lol

I agree I'm not a fan of the Bull bar, if you need a place to put lights I like the Smittybuilt light bar looks a bit more rugged like a 4by is supposed to. Your truck would look killer if the headlights were color matched too, other than that she's a beauty. IMO

Thanks man! I hope to have them done by end of the week, I pulled them out last night, just need to bake them tonight.
I think you should color match the mirrors along with the headlights.
Hummmm, idk because the truck has the chrome edition package from ford and I am fond to those and the grill (why I chose to keep it chrome).
Lose the bullbar... (I'll take it) lmao
It is ready to ship
