I have the live wire flash programmer I bought the basics it has the preloaded tunes in it. How do I go about upgrading to a extreme tune? Do I have to send it off to SCT or should there be a local dealer around Houston TX that could be able to upgrade it. Thought it would be enough for me but its an itch I need to scratch, I hope I wont get my self into the thousands upon thousands that I did with the 6.0 that it was never enough on goodies or repairs.

Innovative Diesel Performance!

Eric of Innovative Diesel Performance has the tunes dialed in - call and talk with him, tell him what you'd like your truck to do and he'll hook you up!!! I'm running his full 4 tune package and love it!

I just ordered my Xtreme Mild tune from Eric, and it's simply amazing for what I'm wanting. It's like the top setting canned tune, but much more refined and wayyy better trans shifting. I ordered it Monday morning, and it was on my truck by 8pm Monday night. Great guy to deal with and it's really worth it. I would give it a try, the 4 tune suite actually requires you to send in your livewire, but the lower tunes do not. I'm not sure totally why, but I assume it's because the livewire will only hold 3 tunes as it is, so they have to completely redesign the operating system.. But I am sure that it is worth it judging from the tune I just got!

The four tune package is so large that Eric replaces the canned tunes with his four and you can't do that yourself at home. He gets it back to you pretty quickly though - I shipped mine down "Priority Overnight" on a Friday and I had it back the following Tuesday. The bummer is you either have to park the truck until it's back or put the DPF back on to drive it - I did the latter. I put the DPF back on to get a State RMV Inspection Sticker and sent the Livewire to Eric while I was back to stock - worked out great.

I have no experience with innovative and am not trying to start a war or anything, just want u to have all the options. I got my custom tune from river city diesel and absoultly love it. I had the same prob as you when it came to getting in touch with innovative. I can call rcd at any time and get a live person!! Most important in my book. And yes, scratch the itch!! The rcd 450(their most mild tune) is 100x better than the canned sct tunes!! Let me know if u have any questions.

If you need to contact Innovative and they don't answer, leave a message they call right back. One time I didn't and hung up, I recieved a call from them in two minutes.

Man I have left message after message and wrote several emails and got one call back but I was on a rig with a horrible signal. I really don't know IDP but jmo I rather not do business with anyone who cant keep there customer service up. I own my own Welding and Fabrication shop that employes twelve people, plus consult for several oil company's and always make sure my customers or potential customers are always satisfied even I am getting the stiff or coming out on top. Innovative Diesel Performance has a big clientele span versus me there for should get there system of customer service, satisfactory to fit the demand.

I understand the frustration. I had a similar experience with Innovative so I went with Jody at DP-tuners..
But ppl say that Eric is good about customer service. So maybe the squeaky wheel gets the grease??

Hey I am all about service I don't mind getting rapped or taking it with no lube if the service is great they will have my business as long as they service my needs. I will call around in the morning. I would love to find someone around Houston so I wont have to send the tuner off.

Well either way, you won't have to "send it off".. You get custom tunes via e-mail..
I'm in College Station and got my tunes from Jody. (no where near him..lol..)
