my tranny made a sound in reverse at idle like an engine rod knocking. not engine problem. give a touch of rpm and it went away. went back 30 minutes later and no more problem. also been shifting wierd lately. in reverse it shudders some times and takes a moment to go in to gear. in forward it jumps out of gear and then back in gear at times while accelerating.
Sounds like it is loosing pressure. Fluid is low or filter plugged. Third is gunk in the transmission. Call around for an independent transmission shop. Ask about a shift kit for the trans. This made a huge difference in my 96.
A new better built 5r110 torq shift fixed up to last forever with about anything about $5,000 grand and some off that prob with trading in yours for a core.

No was just shopin on the dealer sites here and other places seems thats about the going price for a built tranny with heavier tourge converter.
My tranny is fine with the evolution for the 2005 thur 2007 6.0 diesels.

its still adding power to the trans...but its the safest tuner out there...in some ways it treats the trans better then when it was stock...if your just runnin an sct your most likely not gonna have some huge problem that wouldnt be caused just from normal wear and tear on the truck
