I haven't pick her up yet, The guy is holding it for me till Monday when I can get to the bank.

Its a 94 turbo diesel, 5 speed manual w/ OD, 4x4, XLT, reg cab w/drw flatbed dual tanks, plus 80 gal tank on bed, 4.10 ring and pinion, 186,000 miles.

runs like a champ but needs some TLC, steering is a little loose and some oil leaks but nothing that can't be fixed.
paying 4,300 for it.

my only experience with these engines was when I owned a few tow trucks back in the late 90's and they were 4700 internationals. and they were after cooled.

but as far as the truck itself I really don't know that much about that year.
I just like the looks of that year, and plan to really fix her up w/ a new paint job and some aluminum wheels.
the interior is fine but really stained and dirty every where. I want a different seat with a fold down arm rest.

If you guy's can give me some info on these rigs it would be appreciated.
Great site!!

is it a powerstroke or an idi 94 could be either?

the cover on the motor will give it away and the air filter on the powerstroke is off to the side and on the idi the filter housing is in the middle kinda

#5 ·
the cover isn't on it when I looked at it today, I saw that the guy replace the filter housing with a new one, but the filter is off to the side the drivers side no where near the center.

depends if its an IDI or PSD but intake exhaust with downpipe and gauges are a minimum to keep everything in check IMO

hmm ok look on the driverside inner fender if there is a silver box on there it is probably a PSD

also the build date if it is a 94.5 then it is most likely a PSD

sorry what I meant to say was he replaced the fuel filter housing which is on the center of engine and I guess he didn't put the factory cover back on you can see a couple of solinoids in that area if I remember right..... but the air filter housing is by the drivers side fender.

I won't have possesion of the truck till Monday after noon.

ok if the fuel filter drops in then it is a PSD if it looks like an oil filter typically white it is an IDI the black cap in the middle is a PSD

lol yes it sounds as if you got a psd :thumb: mods i would do would be a DIY intake if your hands on, a 3in dp, and gauges at the least just to keep an eye on stuff and possibly a custom chip if you want a lil more power

Good to know (PSD). Yep I want it to breath for sure!
how much power will the chip give it? and w/ 4.10 gear and 5 speed and 4x4 what is the MPG on this type truck? also the hubs were change from full time to manual lock hubs.

i have 4.10 and a hand shaker but not sure about mileage i am not worried about that only power as it is primarily my tow vehicle and toy lol but if i would have to guess about 15 mpg maybe a bit better but i have a heavy foot lol
