I use the adjustable one: RPFA-1004 I run mine just below 70 psi.
Rover hybrid's has a great price and it's a good way to support a veg company. If they don't have it in stock, usdieselparts.com has a great price, too.
You can save a bit of $$ (maybe $20) by getting a preset one. Rover recommends 75 psi, and I see that many others choose 65 psi.
Dont worry about a FASS HPFP if installed CORECTLY.
Horizontal installation is the ONLY correct way. The weep hole must by downward. I have installed a lot of HPFP's and I can tell you if done correctly they run a long time. I have removed several and rapaired a few that were not installed correctly. They fail because of being installed incorrectly. When the weep hole is in any other position than downward, it will comprimise the motor seal, and either seize the bearing to the motor shaft, or spin the bearing, ruining the motor armature.
Thank You.
That is a pretty good price compared to DFA's.
I was asking cause I found one for sale on ebay for 250, but the seeler never answered my questions about the type, psi, etc..
Thanks for the info. That is probably where I will get mine from :thumb:
Vegginpsd - Is the orientation of the FASS pump in the picture you linked above (FASS Adjustable Veggie Oil Lift Pump ) the correct one for mounting it to a a horizontal frame member., If not please describe it more (ie rotate X degrees etc ?) . Any pictures ? - Thanks
