So I recently found a 97 CC f350 4x4 for sale, 210k on the odometer. The Guy says that when he first starts it it smokes some white smoke until warmed up. This is with it not plugged in, in Delaware. He wants 4500. Could this be a deal? What's up with the white smoke? Or am I better off holding out for a deal on a super duty?
i dont think the white smoke is a big deal. we have a 95 powerstroke for our company in minnesota and she smokes a little on start up with out bein plugged in. but then again, its a company truck so she gets beat on to an extent, but still runs like a raped ape! 210k is nothin for the 7.3l!
I don't know what kind of condition its in yet. He's not back from a trip urt or something. He did say the bumper was rusty, and his brother worked for him and used the truck. It has 3 big toolboxes, I could probably sell if I need new glow plugs or injectors. I just hope the automatic tranny is good.
After the Guy tellsme all about it, sends me pictures, and I tell him I'm coming to look at it, he tells me it blue books for 6900 and he's keeping it. Man that gets on my nerves.
You're in good company. I had a deal lined up to buy a 97 CCLB 4x4 handshaker for a certain price either tomorrow or Saturday. Guy texts me today and says "bank gave me 2 extra months, rough trade in is $xxxx (more than he said he would sell it to me for) so I'm putting it back on CL." I hate playing these damn games.
