Hey, we have always wanted this truck, finaaly we were able to buy a nice one. however, after driving it for awhile there is a ding ding ding sound in the cab. kinda sounds like seatbelt warning, but no lights come on, and our seatbelts are always fastened. the oise goes away, then comes back like every 5 minutes ish. any ideas? also, anyone in alaska on this site? Thanks, Nathan
It sounds like the seat belt warning buzzer i have a couple of these trucks with it they have both done wierd things but best of all they stopped working there should be a way to hot wire it or disconnect it
Mine does it on occasion. I will start the truck...and while in park....ding,ding,ding. I will keep looking too....perhaps a solution on the web..If so I will post it to this thread.
hello. Thanks for the ideas, I think it is a fuse out indicator? do these trucks have that? the stop lamp fuse was blown, replaced it no more ding, then it blew again (bad trailer wiring) fixed it, no ding yet. also this truck is stock, i think it has a small lift 2 -3 inches, I want to put a little bigger tires on it ideas? thanks, Nate and Kristin.
I dont recall...and haven't experienced the "Fuse Out Indicator". It would be a smart idea...and If your truck has stopped making the chime warning after a new fuse.....we can probably deduce that a blown fuse was the issue...only time will tell. Although I have lifted many Jeeps,etc.....I am not the one to comment on large lifts for trucks of this size (I am not an advocate of it).
I am a firm believer that such a truck is a TOW RIG.....regardless....
I can offer idea's though, some of which will help, regardless of the application..and they are safe/cheap.
Your truck will breath really well...and sound like aan f-15 powering up.
