    I never lock out gears. I let the tranny figure out what gear is needed.
    Towing my trailer up Parleys, I''ll see oil temps hit 240 So I see nothing to worry about with your temps. The 6.7 uses oil to help cool the pistons. It shoots a jet of oil on the bottom of each piston, each stroke. This helps to cool the piston and during heavy work, The combustion chamber temps can climb and the pistons need the extra cooling.

    Thanks for the response. Good to know that the dealer was wiling to recalibrate for stock 20's. Did they have any initial issues for requesting a calibration for 20's when you're running 18's? Maybe that is something I should ask them before I purchase the tires. Or see if the tire shop can calibrate.

    Have you noticed a big change in your speedometer with the 295? TPMS, etc.

    Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70 R18, which is about 34.5x11.8. They are pretty much the best tire size IMHO to put on stock 18x8 wheels. No rubbing, they ride great, they are quite, and fill the wheel well better...




    Toyo open country makes a 285/75/R18, which is 35x11.4 but more $$$
