I just bought a 2000 f250 7.3. i found the original window sticker in the glove box it said one of the options was the California emissions system. I'm not really sure what it does but i am sure i want it off my truck. If anyone knows any thing about it and how or if i can remove it id appreciate the help thanks.
The california Emmisions package is nothing really I have it there is no cat on my 02 the only real difference I noticed is instead of a glow plug relay there is a Glow plug control modual. other then that i have not noticed anything differnt when i was swapping my engines.
the module is a silver box that sits on the top passenger side of the engine and there is a plug that goes into it.. the relay is a brown and round and has the wires attached to the top of it.
Edit on mine it has one relay with the Module. the non cali editions have two relays not sure what the other relay is for but its there.
