Still having problems with my 05 6.0. It has 174,000 miles on it and the FICM has been replace at 140,000. I have been having problems with a missfire while at idle, hot or cold. Just replaced the #4 injector and change all the filters. That seemed to help. Didn't notice the missfire untill I drove it this weekend to a funeral. 400 miles round trip. I drove sensably all the way. I had to really stand on it from a stop light due to the kid next to me in a civic with a coffee can tail pipe and a beautiful wing (lol) on the back of his car. Have noticed a missfire since. Any thoughts?
The short answer is yes it could, but let's dig a little deeper. Is the misfire consistent with engine RPM? And I'm assuming that it only does it at idle; never when running at higher RPM's... Do you have access to a scanner (not a code reader) so you can see what the FICM and injectors are doing? Here's what they should be at. LINK
And to answer your question, yes it is most noticeable at ilde. The truck runs ruff when it is cold. It has been in the 20's at nite here so I keep it plugged in. It starts great in the morning but if it sits all day it starts ok, just runs ruff intil it gets good and warm. Performance is great after it warms up.
