Hello im a newbe so be gental
My 03-6.0 with 192,000 miles on it was running down the road fine and dandy 75mph and lost all power and died DRT
all it will do is turn over it has no oil pressure while turning :dunno:
we put a code reader on it its not throwing any codes other than a fuel pressure sensor this truck has been bullet proof
HELP
Fuel is not the problem
come on guys i need your help i have to fix this truck i have cows to move next month
if it is the HPOP how big of a pain is it to replace
on an 03 it is more than likely a failed high pressure oil pump. you need to check and see how much if any icp pressure you have. if it doesnt have atleast 500 psi it will nnot start. check it out and post back.
we have not been able to scan it yet
a heavy machine mechanic friend came over and pulled the lines HFCM and and we aint getting any fuel to come out
this thing should be pumping a stream shouldnt it
The code you retrieved wouldn't happen to be P0232 would it? Does it pump fuel when you supply + and - to it? If not, it sounds like you need a new HFCM. The part numbers from Ford are PFB-93 and 6C3Z-9F759-A for the parts you need to repair this, IF YOU AREN'T GETTING FUEL TO THE ENGINE AND THERE IS POWER AND GROUND TO IT.
on a code reader it has not thrown any codes
we took the HFCM put a fuel line to it and in a gallon of fuel and put a +and - to it and it aint doing spit
are the part numbers for a complete unit or the pump
OK here is a dumb question
does the HFCM need a filter to pump
does the filter and cap open a diaphram on the end of the pump is what im asking
or does it work with just impelers
BWAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA it lives :woot:
A combo of weak HFCM and bad fuel
its time to crack open a lot of cold ones
thanks for all the help this place is great
