I live in a dusty/sandy area. I don't even need to go wheelin to get sandy. Every time that i have pulled the air inlet off, it's been clean. It's been in there since 2006 and I haven't had any issues with the MAF, turbo, or the time/space continuum. Most keyboard commandos that preach about how much junk aftermarket air filters let in have never used one.

Honestly, all of the aftermarket CAIs are an f'in joke in my opinion, you're trading a box for another box. Obviously the ZooDad helped, but taking the front off netted almost 2 mpg after I did my 35s. So hell yeas I would recommend that intake to ANYONE willing to try it. If you don't like it, put the cover back on or give your favorite mfr a few hundred bucks for a new box...
