Truck was infront end crash Got back from shop It now guzzles oil like a pig. Cannot find out where it goes shop told insurance company normal where and tear All I know at moment it ran great before accident now she will not run at all. getting ready to get her in the garage at home any ideas as where to start????????
Do you have oil drips on the driveway? If so, it could be turbo, turbo pedistal, HPOP lines. But if it was wrecked, oil cooling lines? I am not sure if it has a oil cooler... but might be worth a look. Good luck.
I also did a search for Bridgeport Ohio, google shows it by Wheeling, but Bing shows in my miamisburg. Which one is it?
Getting ready to tear into it no puddles of oil under it figure it getting burned in combustion. Bridgeport is across river from Wheeling. Thanks for info
That would indicate your lower injector o-rings are bad. High pressure oil seeps past the o-rings into the fuel rails and contaminates your oil. The oil then gets burned off. Usually you won't even see smoke when the motor is warmed up because oil burns just about as good a diesel.
HPOP or HPOP lines leaking? The HPOP is the rectangle thing in front of the fuel filter. The HPOP lines are under the fuel lines, and next to the Fuel filter, there is a larger nut that goes into the HPOP, that leaks also.
If the truck is running, you should see some oil coming out if it is leaking, it runs at high pressure, 300psi to well over 1000psi.
Ford has a oring kit for that, it was about 30 bucks for all the orings.
Great, going to order the kits replaced the left bank injectors last fall, because of two bad injectors. She has 248000 miles on her did not have the cash or time for rigth bank. Thanks let you know how it goes. Appreciate the help.
make sure and do all 8 injectors, and make sure you position the copper sealing washer correct, otherwise you will leak combustion into the fuel system. tthe oring kit comes with instructions.
