Winter blend makes a noticable difference but not THAT BIG of a difference... You've got other issues.

Yes winter fuel really is that bad. In the summer i usually run about 400 miles till low fuel light comes on. In the winter i barely scrap up 300 miles. That's with a 29 gallon tank and low fuel light coming on with 7 gallons left. (i believe....don't quote me!!)

I usually average 400 +/- some depending on how heavy my foot has been for that week..Something is definitely wrong if your only getting 112 miles til your at half way..

well you might want to replace it again. You got something going on. What kind of boost numbers are you seeing? do a search on bad mileage and you can get a list of everything to check..

Okay....I'll be the first to admit....I'm not the guy pegging the high end of the intelligence meter, but.....

I know they change fuel formulas for gasoline, but didn't know there was a winter blend for diesel. Don't mean to hijack here, but can anyone shed some light on that?

they put a additive to prevent gelling and that is why the fuel efficency goes down.

Check your rear brake calipers....I had a mileage problem once, turns out it was one of my rear calipers was seized and holding on to the rotor. problem with these truck is that they have so much torque, you probably wont even notice it......besides the mileage of course....at least I didnt notice.
