Depending on how much, it may not be bad. At the base of the intake, to the turbo, the crankcase vent come up into it. If you are getting some blow by, you will probably have 'some' oil in the tubes. A lot depends on how many miles on the engine, how bad your blowby is.

I had to replace my power steering pump not too long ago and I found oil in that boost tube (driver's side) going back up to the engine. I just wiped it down real well before re-assembling it.

like u said, not much oil. prlly enough for the 216k miles on my engine lol. took off the boot and pipe, whiped it down real good. thot it wuld b a bigger problem but i guess not :woot: thanks :thumb:

By the looks of the soot on the firewall just to the right behind the turbo you have a very bad exhaust leak, either uppipe or the 'Y' gasket. that'll give ya some boost loss
im barely pushin 10 psi...u think an exhaust leak culd take it down that much ? cuz from what ive been told, with my injectors and other mods, i should be pushin about 25-30...??

Sounds like you need a ccv mod to capture that oil collecting in you inter cooler. Cooler may need to be cleaned out as well. that restriction will drop boost and on top of your exhaust leak compounding your problem.

wat is a ccv mod

The oil in your intake system comes from oil vapor in the crankcase vent system.
the crank case is vented into the intake. A mod exists which redirects that oily air into a canister through a filter media which captures the oil vapor and returns the air oil free to the intake.
Left unchecked this vapor collects in the intake tubes and in the cooler itself.
Problems this causes range from clogged coolers to oil impregnated boots which tear or easily slip off causing boost leaks.
Check with the vendor here Stealth Automotive I think. Raul can hook you up.
Also I recomend you do a search here for ccv mod and read read read

Even a small pre-turbo exhaust leak hinders performance. I've replaced up-pipe gaskets that seemed fine when I had things apart, and gained a couple psi in boost.
