Hey Guys, I found a sweet deal on one of those proper Ford high idle boxs that plugs in under the dash. The price was too good to not buy it, but the guy had no info on it. Im just wondering if these things were year specific or if they work on multiple years. And if they are year specific how can a guy tell what year they are for?
They are not year specific. There are three versions. The black box with no screen, the box with an lcd display, and the box with an lcd display and pto control. I have the manual for it. Let me find it and post it for you.
Awesome, thanks man. Can't wait to throw it in there. Somebody at some point had wired up a toggle switch and knob hat does work fine as a high idle control, but for $20 I thought I might as well buy this thing and plug it in. Cool. Thanks again
Whoa, very cool. This is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for. Any suggestions on how to search for one? A google search for ford high idle or high idle box did not turn up anything.
I don't really want to buy a $400 chip or programmer, but I love the battery save function on that box!
It is good for helping jump starting vehicles too.
