What controls the shift points PCM or throttle potentiometer or what?

It will be in high gear before I can make it through a red-light. So what do I do break down and take it to Ford???

Trans shop (performance transmission) tells me with their scanner that every thing is working properly that it is just getting the signal from the PCM too early.

Wow thats crazy. Look for a PCM from a local yard with matching numbers. Or take it to ford and have them re flash it for 95 bucks...

PCM matching numbers purchased and on the way. I also have a P0605 (Rom Error) DTC code. I thought the truck might have been chipped or something. I pulled the PCM....took the cover off and no evidence of anything.....all silicone present and everything. I should receive it by thursday......I'll keep everyone posted.
