anyone know how to get the code for the outside door key pad? bought the truck used and never knew what the code was, owners manual gave a few locations inside the truck as to where there is a little card with the factory code on it, but theres nothing in the truck and thats assuming the previous owner didnt change it:hehe:.. is there a way to look up the code (factory or personal) with a scanner or somthing?
Recently bought a used 06 without an owners manual so I had the same problem.
Remove the storage drawer/tray located in the lower center of the dash. I used a bore scope to look directly above there and you will see a module. On the side of it or the bottom will be a 5 digit code. That is the factory code and will work regardless of if the previous owner created their own code.
Use the link below for more detailed info. Found it posted on here not that long ago.
take it to ford and tell them u want the factory door code and they will plug the computer in and give u the factory door code free of charge and they will even set the door code to what u want it or u can do it
well ive looked and looked above that compartment and even popped the dash cover off (around the radio) and there wernt any modules around there so.
called ford and they said there could be many different places it could be, they wanted to charge half hour labor to plug it in and search for it, i plugged in our Solus at work and it doesnt have the capabilities to get into the securty locks, i did however find a few body function codes:doh: looked everywhere for the card, im convinced it is gone.
call all the Ford dealerships in your area, some are just plain "Bastard People" others are great and will do it free, hoping you will be back for other work.
