What other kinda gauges are a good idea past the EGT/trans/boost?
I've already decided on a engine coolant temp and a fuel pressure. What others are a good idea?
I already looked for an autometer one and didn't see one.
I decided to put up a 4 pod pillar and one of those pods that wraps around the steering column. Are those steering column ones any good?
I have a steering column single pod and I like it. It's where I keep my tuner controller. I would recommend using some super glue to install it though cause the double stick tape that comes with it is useless and the little push tabs don't do a good job of holding it in place. The shifter hits it a little when going into park so I can't just throw up the shifter. I could trim a little plastic too, but it doesn't really bother me that much.
Overall it's a good, handy gauge pod. I think mine was made by Autometer but I think i got it on ebay so who knows...
Thanks, and yeah on the location. If you are planning on putting more gauges in eventually, I would just get the pod that goes above the rear view mirror and then just add gauges as you can afford to. Just my :twocents:
Can't be much harder than the "A" pillar gauges. Just have to pull both the "A" pillars and lower the headliner a little to get the wires tucked away and the wires would have to be a little longer.
I wouldn't think you would have to lower it completely, just enough to get the wires tucked away nice and neat. If I'm wrong, someone that has done the overhead gauges will let me know.
When I get gauges, beyond the normal ones, I also want to get a voltage gauge. I think it would be nice to have one..
