Ok so lately my truck has had a fluctuation and seems low on power I talked to a guy that use to be a ford diesel tech and was pretty quick to say bad icp. My thing about it is I just replaced it about 6k miles ago with a new one from ford. Any one able to shed some light in this
if you catch the sensor early before the pigtail gets completely oil logged, i would say its fine to keep. most will tell you to always replace it, i dont see the need unless its damaged or to soaked with oil. go to your local radio shack and pick up an aerosol can of "electrical contact cleaner" the stuff is like gold, it will clean that pigtail right up. thats what i did on mine, and it works flawlessly
Have you scanned it, or monitored live data? If you had asked me, that's what I would have done first, before jumping the gun and condemning the ICP sensor as the culprit.
im having a similar problem. where can i get a pigtail?
