Someone near me has a 1999 F-250 Powerstroke diesel truck for sale. It is an extended cab, XLT trim, 4x4 with automatic trans and all the power options, CD stereo, etc., etc.
It has about 180,000 miles on it and they want $10,500 for it. For a truck that is eleven years old, it is in great condition and the interior doesn't have any rips or tears in it.
Is this price anywhere in the ballpark for such a vehicle??
:dunno:
sounds good to me as long as it doesnt have any rust or alot of rust anyway and find out if the trans has been redone the 4r100s tend to not hold up to well and that could set you back almost 3k
i Stole my truck! only 7200 for 1999 f250, ext cab. xlt trim, all power everything. 155k miles. only downside: no factory tints. Try and get it down, it does seem a bit high to me.
That sounds just a little high, but the diesel market has gone back up through the roof. at least here it has. I had some guy offer me 15500 for my truck the other day and i'm not even trying to sell it lol.
thats way to high i got my 99 f50 with leather lariat interior in perfect shape along with great body condition 4x4 with factory tint and power everything and a 4" exhaust for 8900.
Yeah, it sounded just a bit high. I don't know about any trans work (or any other repairs, for that matter) being done to it. It would be pretty bad to spend good, hard-earned money on a truck and then have to drop three large for a new tranny.
Everyone replying what they bought thiers for take in consideration when you got it... summer/winter? West coast/East coast? South/north? MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!
I bought mine 3 weeks ago in Texas for 8900 and could easily sell it in Ohio for 15,000 due to condition!
As far as finding one East coast/North, price is right where it should be, I could not find anything north of texas for under 10G that was worth looking at, and I looked pretty hard..depends on options and condition ALOT
A 4x4 Ext cab XLT in nice shape is easil;y worht 2000 less then a loaded Lariat in the same truck...
All depends on location, condition and options.... and those are ALOT of things to consider!!
Good luck!!!
PS... look in Texas..... lots to chose from there and they are SPOTLESS!
