I know , I Know but need to ask anyways..
Will they need to take the cab off for the bed plate oil leak fix ? Also what else is there I can have them mod while in there , thought I was told one time about the HPOP mod ?? Anything I can have them do while she's in for tummy work ?:hehe:
Ive got the same issue, and they told me that they had to do the cab-off, I am suppose to bring it in next week, its a 3day job from what they tell me, And as you know if its under warranty, they live by the "if it aint broke dont fix it" policy, because I am like you, I wanted to get the studds and other repairs done, while it was in the shop, with the cab off :icon_ford:
For the bed plate to be removed , if you are referring to the one that covers up the back of the engine where the STC fitting is and the branch tubes are you have to pull the trans out! If its the plate that sits in the engine vallie that croves up the pump itself I dont pull the cab off just for that! By the time they get the cab off I can be down to the HP pump!!
The oil is coming from right in that area , hoping it's a main seal but I'll know for sure Monday . A week with out a truck is going to be so hard I have to drive a Escape V6 but I look at it this way it's a FORD :}:icon_ford:
I see a lot of ford trucks with what appears to be a bed plate gasket leak. Heard it is a major problem for ford. Is this a leak that needs to be fixed if it is not bad or will it continue to get worse?
Well looks to be the rear GP leaking , it's at the shop now ..
