So my winter time lope is back, guess its time to trouble shoot the glow plug system. All is well if I leave it plugged ing for a couple hours. Or could something else be wrong:dunno: Check out the vid.
Lask year all new glow plugs, and right bank of injectors replaced, and new hpop. (not all at the same time) I do have a slight miss at idle but if I flash back to stock it goes away.
mine is not that bad.. but it's getting there.... my brothers was doing that and he replaced the batteries and that solved it for the time being.... maybe get your batteries checked? im subscribed for other suggestions as well.... i wouldn't think its the glow plugs if they were replaced last year....:dunno:
My dad had the same thing happen to his truck ('04 6.0 86k miles) and he changed the oil and put a FS-2500 oil filtration kit on his truck and it solved his problem. The oil needs to be clean of particulates to fire the injectors properly. Hope this helps you.

I agree with this completely. Clean (and preferably synthetic) oil is a MUST in these trucks.
I also concur it sounds like a few sticky injectors when cold, an issue I tend to turn a blind eye to on these trucks as they usually smarten right up within 1-2 minutes of idling.
You already have the inductive heating reflash, so my next step would be an axillary oil filter, and 10W-40 AMSOIL.
It sounds to me like a updated dealer flash is in order. I had the same exact problem and took it and had the computer programming updated and it fires up instantly now. It recently died due to injectors and HPOP but before that it was cranking like a champ. I will say that it was having a warm start up problem but I think that was due to low HPOP pressure.
same problem here, except mine went to missin for a few minutes until warm so i had it looked at they told me it need an injector. that helped the problem but didn't completly fix it so i took it back and tehn they found another injector that was weak and ont that had a dead miss. so it's currently getting those 2 put in it.
Before you tear your truck apart. Check this simple stuff first. Sounded like my 07 did, well mine was a little rougher. I ended up with needing an alternator and both batteries were bad. Almost a $500 dollar week this week. But all is well. First check your charging system out put and then load test your batteries. I though my glow plug were shot, but in was due to not enough amperage.

Not saying anybody elses suggestions are wrong. But 5 minute at the parts store is alot easier than the dealer having it for days possibly. Mine cranked fine too and had a rough for a bid. Then one day nothing. Just suggesting starting with the easiest solution first.
Well about 2 1/2 months ago the head gaskets bit the bullet. 6 Injectors are failing flow test, engine wire harness has chafe to bare wire and turbo as some play. Rudy's haven't looked into the turbo yet.
Try REV X i can almost guarentee it'll fix your problem
