Hey Guys I have a 2005 ford, with all the preventive stuff done to the motor. I had it in for an oil change the other day, and while I was there I asked the dealer to do a dead cold (easy in Canada) start and check my Injectors. I didn't notice anything abnormal with them, but they are the last thing I haven't replaced. I run Good Diesel and diesel additive every 2nd tank. The dealer calls me and tells me that they need to program the FICM (Never heard of that, just replacing them). The dealer reprogrammed the FICM, did another cold test and told me that 5 of my injectors needed to be replaced. I told him not to worry about it, as I though something was fishy. I don't notice my truck hard to start cold or hot, didn't think I had lost any power, or fuel economy. I just though it was maybe idling not quite right.
So I am going to have the injectors cold scanned at another dealer. If I need to replace them, I will do all 8.
Anyone have any input on 40hp, or 155cc injectors? I have lots done to the truck, but still (brand new) HPOP, and next to new stock turbo.
I plan on doing the INJECTORS MYSELF. Does anyone have a remanufactured injector they would recommend?
