I need to find out who bought my truck from the dealer new. I bought my truck from a used car lot. I keep calling everyone but keep running into brick walls. Please tell me how I can find out who bought my truck new and who the original owner was.

is there any paperwork in the glove box from the preveous owner? is the original owners manual in the truck, sometimes people put thier names and address in them? Do you know your underwriter at your local ford dealer, sometimes they will look it up for you?

They can't. They won't ****ing do warranty work on it unless I can provide the name. This is bull****.

why the hel! wont they look it up for you and why do you need the first owners name to do the warranty work!! that is BS

Car fax won't provide owner info, but it will provide other places the vehicle might have been serviced. The place the PO had the oil changed for example might give you the name of the last person that brought that vehicle in.

Is this a standard or extended warranty? Standard, i.e. comes with truck shouldn't matter who it is. Extended you may not be able to transfer. I would call another dealer and ask if the way you're being treated is normal. They may want your business more.

maybe but not sure if that will give you a name or not

Well I will probably sell the truck ya'll.

As is, 23k. With a new tranny and everything worked out, 25k

Because I can't afford to buy a tranny...

And no, it is under some valued customer ****.

is that not provided in the oasis report???

yea...i second what's been said above. your best bet is to look at where it has been serviced and see if you can get a name by going through them first. at any rate, i don't think the way they've treated you is normal. see if another dealer is willing to pull their head out of their a** and help you out...my .02
