well i got my hpop out and it seems to be the problem....the back part of the housing is cracked nearly all the way around. I'm just wondering if there are any tips or recomendations on installing the new one....Also thanks for the great site and tech i've lurked and read countless hours of great information.

it started losing power then the truck shut off and would'nt crank back. i done all of the diagnostics and figured out i had an oil pressure problem done the air test and could'nt find a leak so i tore the hpop out to find out the back part of the housing was cracked. it is located under the turbo at the back of the motor in the lifter valley.

Question for you on your HPOP. I have a small oil leak somewhere. my bell housing is wet from about midline or higher down., felt the top and it was not wet just a little grimmy. My ford tech says it probably not a rear seal but my HPOP. However I have no loss of power like you had. If it is the HPOP should I have a loss of power.

How much time would you say you had into it to get the HPOP out. I need to replace my IPR and its in the vicinity of the pump. Just curious the time you had into it and what all needed to pulled to get to the pump before removing it.
