I put foam backer rod (from Home Dept) inside the door seals on my CC really cuts down on the road noise. Pulled the door seals off and pushed a wire snake though the round tube seal. Using Electrical tape attached the foam backer rod to the snake, you may have to tape down the backer rod a ways so it won't break off inside while pulling though stock door seal tube. Use soapy water to lube up the backer rod once pulled through re-install and voila....quieter.....for the size of the backer tube diameter check in my pix link at bottom of page IIRC have some pix in the truck folder....
Hey, thanks for the info. This foam backer, is it the stuff that is used in expansion joints? BTW I really like your truck. It is not often that I see a crew cab short bed. I love it and wish mine was a crew. AWESOME.
Yes it is....grey and comes in different diameters. I know of some guys that use surgical or vinyl tubing. As I live in cooler winter climate wanted something that will stay pliable when cold.
Ya there aren't many 250CC in Western Canada and have always wanted one....bought this one from a member on TDS....so far been a real good rig.
Sweet, My dad is retired from being a ceramic tile setter and carpenter and I have been moving a bunch of that foam left over from a job. I am excited now on doing some mods that dont cost anything.
Thanks again
