what is the fuel filter location on 05 f750 6.0?

If its the same as the 350, theres one on the frame rail under the drivers seat and one dead center on top of the engine.
Need a 36 mm socket down below and the top one is a smaller size and i cant remember what it is. Just changed mine last week... i want to say the top one was a 17 or 18 mm?

You sure? I have an 05 and the rear fuel filter is on the inside of the frame right next to the drive shaft. Its a 36mm (9bux at Advanced auto) and the other is like an 18 I or something. Theres a good writeup in the 6.0 tech section.

Also don't forget the water seperator plug. If you find that on your frame the fuel filter is right behind it, in the black case.

^^^Same here, it has to have a filter. Take some pic's of your motor and frame rail so we can see if you actually do not have it or not...

Lol I agree, that is why I wanted him to post pic's so we could show him he DOES have both fuel filter's.

I followed the fuel lines from the tank which is under the step on passenger side to the front of motor no filter on frame. I have a f350 03 6.0 I have changed oil and fuel filters 8 times and know filter placement well. But cant find either fuel filter on my f750

Hm,
I was going to say, it would be weird since Ford and everyone else sells the kits with 2 filters to only have 1...

#13 ·
maybe the 750s dont need filters...LoL !!!

QOUTED FROM FORD MANUAL

Fuel Filter/Water Separator — 6.0L Diesel

Fuel Filter/Water Separator Operation

Fuel from the fuel tank is circulated through a nylon strainer insert located in the pre-strainer before going to the fuel pump. The fuel is then sent to the fuel filter/water separator where it passes through the fuel filter element. Once the fuel has been filtered, it goes to the engine.

NOTE: The engine will not run without the fuel filter element correctly installed. The fuel filter element is required to open the shut-off valve in the stand-pipe.

To prevent contamination of the fuel charging system and damage to the fuel injectors, the stand-pipe in the fuel filter housing is equipped with a shut-off valve. The fuel filter element must be correctly installed or the fuel flow will be interrupted.

NOTE: The nylon strainer insert must be correctly installed in the pre-strainer to prevent the 1 mm (0.040 in) orifice from plugging. If the 1 mm (0.040 in) orifice becomes plugged, the fuel system will not deaerate correctly, resulting in degraded engine performance.

There is a 1 mm (0.040 in) orifice in the fuel filter housing to vent air trapped in the fuel filter housing through the fuel pressure regulator back to the fuel tank. A mesh screen located in the strainer housing is used to prevent the 1 mm (0.040 in) orifice from plugging.

Fuel Filter Element

The fuel filter element is attached to the fuel filter lid. The fuel filter element is detached from the fuel filter lid by pressing in on the fuel filter element locking tabs.
