hey guys. I know that white smoke on first start up on cold mornings is pretty normal or so i've been told but it is about 45 degrees out and I get white smoke for about 5-10 minutes on first start up and the truck seems to not want to go anywhere until warm. Once the truck has warmed up the smoke stops and the engine runs great. Any ideas?:ar15:
You may have trash in your fuel, or may have an injector issue. ULSD has been causing injector issues with the 7.3's. Check your fuel filter, if its black in color that means you have picked up some trash in your tank most likely
I've had fueling issues that I brought upon myself (bad fuel...long story) but I've found that fuel starvation conditions make for white smoke.
My mechanic confirmed this.
