Good day,

I recently had my 6.0 reflashed at the Ford dealer to the latest flash I belive (is there any way to see if they are BSing you by seeing which version they installed?)

Anyway, I do plan on getting an SCT once my warranty runs out and an egr delete of some sort (not sure what I will do yet).

I am curious to see if anyone has tried this from Eric Custom FICM Reprogramming and if it's worth it. Did it change the fuel milage/power? or is this pretty much useless to get?

thanks

I have heard that the truck runs rough when cold and with you being in Iceland I would check into that.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. It does not really get that cold here. We do, the odd time, get around -5 F, but never colder than that, and normally around 20 here in the winter time.

Magnus -- IDP doesn't use the inductive heating that PHP does (Power Hungry Performance) and there are a number of people who are saying that they're having rough starts with IDP FICM programming with temps in the 40's. Not knocking IDP. Just repeating what I've read.

are you guys seeing better fuel milage with the update, and more power?

I like the inductive heating, so I guess PHP it is + it's a bit cheaper.

Is there any major difference between PHP and Innovative?

If you go with Innovatives mild tune you will be fine. No cold start issues. The bigger tunes are where the problems come in

I have the moderate program in mine and have rough starts, but I'm really not to worried about it. I plug it in during the winter, so that will help as well. If you are looking for a little boost in performance and fuel economy, get the mild tune and have fun.

I've got Innovative's mild FICM flash. I don't have any cold start issues. What Dave said is correct. The only people to my knowledge having any type of cold starting issue are running the moderate or race flash. The mild version did everything I needed. A little more responsive, fuels harder up top, and a modest bump in mileage.

I have the Mild tuning with no cold start up problems. Just better throttle response. It's actually so significant that on stock programming it actually feels like I programmed the PCM with the new 03 turbo. I feel like it's definitely quicker without my SCT. With it, it's just even faster and more responsive. My milage gain was .5 mpg.

BTW hows that turbo runinya?

what kind of performance are you guys getting out of the moderate tune? im thinking of sending mine off to get tuned. wanting to know how responsive it is on take off and what kind off horsepower you are getting out of it? does the moderate level produce more smoke? i am running an edge juice platinum and getting a little smoke but wanting more and a better response time on take off.

i would like to know the same info.

6.0kansaspowerstroke im sure you will or have already heard this but if you want better performance get rid if the Edge and get a SCT with custome tunes (innovative's tunes or even from someone else). you will love it and your truck will thank you.

bump would like to know what the biggest differences between the PHP and innovative ficms are? also does the throttle response go away as well as turbo lag on the later 6.0 05-07??

6.0 td is the throttle responce noticable as well as the turbo lag did that go away too. i have a 07 with xtreme street and i have 2-3 seconds of lag and crappy throttle responce will this go away with the ficm reprogram??
