torque converter Maybe

This is my first Automatic ever so I don't know much about the tranny. The problem is when im sitting at a light or somethin and I have it in a gear I can hear a swishing noise but if a put it in neutral it goes away it even does it in REV.Any Ideas Tranny or Converter?:confused:

I see you have an 01 F-350 DJM. Your truck has the 4R100 auto tranny and everybody that I have talked to stresses regular service intervals religiously with this tranny. How many miles are on your truck and do you know if the truck was used to do a lot of towing. If it were mine, I believe I would change the fluid, filter, and drain the torque converter anyway. Should hold around 15 quarts if you drain the converter:)

I serviced it in December I change the filter and fluid every 20k.
