You can make yourself a DIY intake for whatever the cost of the filter is along with a piece of 4" exhaust tubing or pvc pipe.
You can either straight pipe your exhaust or get with a vendor to get you setup with a new exhaust. A straight pipe will be fine however.
Check with Raul if you want to go with tony wildman tunes or contact Jody with DP Tuner. Search around for reviews on the two products that would best suit you. Im not gonna say go with this or that cause its YOUR truck
Thanks southern, Not sure what i want just looking for ideas right now. need to save more coin before i do anything. I have trans, pyro, and boost guages. On the boost i can hit 27 every now and again. The trans i run about 175 pulling, and the pyr i can bury over 1600 if i want, i usually keep it around 1200.
1600 egt??? that is ridiculously high.... i have never hit past 1300 on my highest tune.... where do you have the EGT probe tapped into?
as far as intake i would go with a S&B intake.. best bank for your bucks full intake system..and a 6 position TW chip... if you can wait we will be having a big sale for black friday in a couple of weeks...
HOLY HOT TURBO Batman.............1600* post turbo......DAYUM!!! that is hot!!! I can't even get to those EGT's in my truck and I have tweaked mine some. Your Superchips needs to be turned down to a lower setting.
The Banks quick spool turbo name(if that is what you are referring to as quick spool) is an oxymoron, it is actually a larger housing than the stock housing thereby actually spooling slower and running cooler due to less restriction.
Get ya some good custom tunes. Matt at Gearhead is the best I have ran on my truck or have experience with. About the only ones I havent ran or experienced are TW and Aggies tunes.
