I swore that I would never drive a Ford, but here I am. I am comming off of my 3rd Duramax. I never had any problems out of them, but now that the Govt. owns 60%, My pride will not allow me to get another.

My last truck was wrecked last Friday by a guy that ran a stoplight. There was witnesses and it's even stated on the police report. I think it's totalled (see Pics). I just hired a lawyer today because the other guys insurance is giving me the runaround. They tried to tell me to get my insurance and move my truck to a place that isn't charging storage, since I am responsible. LOL, I proceeded to tell him my mind. Well, there is more to the story, but I am not sure if I can really get into it...... Well, anyway I am looking at either a 2010 Green/Tan or White /Tan Crew Cab, 4x4 short bed with green being my first choice. If you have one, feel free to post pics.

That truck looks totalled for sure, hope everybody was ok.

If you can, you might want to wait for the 2011 with the new Ford built Scorpion :woot. It's supposed to be a hell of a powertrain. They're supposed to hit the lots in March of 2010

Glad to hear we have another convert to the :ford: way of things. They're the only ones that didn't take scamulus money, andd the only ones that recorded a PROFIT last quarter :woot:

:ORG welcome:

To be honest, I feel alot better getting a 6.4. No one has had many issues and with all of the emmisions on the 6.7...I just don't have a warm and fuzzy yet. Plus having to add urea is gonna suck.

Man... Nothing wrenches my stomach like seeing a clean truck like that so messed up. I hope everyone made it out without any injuries. I've been in (not driving but in the car) 10 accidents and I know the smell of that airbag powder all too well. Seeing that picture totally brought me back. Good luck with all the red tape and I hope you get properly compensated.

For what it's worth, don't be TOO worried about getting the shaft. People don't always get screwed over. I totaled a '05 Audi A4 (3 weeks after I got it) and I got back FOUR THOUSAND dollars more than what I just paid. The whole thing ended up being a good thing.

I agree with utahnguy...no matter what truck it is, it doesn't deserve that. Damn.

Hope you've been checked out by a doctor. Our bodies weren't designed for that....Definitely looks like the truck took the brunt.

Good luck in your search - Welcome to the .org. I think you'll like it here.

Thanks fellas. I really hope I don't get the shaft. I am just ready to get a new truck or get pissed if it's not totaled. I would really like to know if there is a law that if the damage exceeds a certain percentage of the total value that it is totaled or if it is just a rule of thumb for insurance companies.

I think it's more a matter of economics for the insurance companies. If it costs them less to total it than it does to fix....it's outta here. They aren't gonna pay anymore than they absolutely have too. The other company may push for that so THEY don't have to pay that much. Seeing the damage, I'd really be surprised if they tried to fix it.
