Its not the HP or the TQ that really kills it (to an extent) it's who does the tunes. A generic tuner on a low level will probably fry it faster than an SCT on a higher level...

A lot of it will depend on how the truck is driven too, but SCT is the safest bet.

If you are just adding that much to the engine only, then yea. It will.
But if you can somehow tune the engine AND the transmission, then it'll last WAY longer.

KingRanch 6.0, I honestly dont know what to tell you. You've asked in about a dozen threads about the bullydog and in almost all of them, nearly all the responses were not "great" and everyone told you to get the SCT.

If you really want to use the bullydog, go ahead, but for the most part, no one here is going to tell you that it's OK. It seems like you've already made your decision and are looking for confirmation, you're just not going to get it on the powerstroke forums.

We're all just trying to help you and save you from a headache down the road. I've already said those who are not using the SCT currently, are usually looking to sell whatever it is they have to get the SCT, doesn't that tell you anything? If you're not looking to add a lot of power, get the SCT and just get some mild tunes! You'll be happy you did.

there are alot of people that have gotten bully dog, edge, hypertec, banks. very few ever say they love them. some say they like them. some didnt know about the sct before the purchase. most that have made that decision to go another route have come back to say man i wish id have bought the sct. for a 6.0 powerstroke it is about the best you can get.
