:dunno:have any of you guys adjusted this and if so what did it do i have a stock turbo and i been wandering if there was anything to gain from adjusting it thanks
The more that you shorten the actuating rod the longer your waste-gate will stay closed and that will build more boost. The more that you lengthen it the shorter it will stay open therby lowering your boost. Just get in there and mess with it tell you find a setting that you like. You are not going to hurt anything.
i cut my wastegate rod and rethreaded it and then welded a quick coupling onto it. this essentially made it shorter but i went a backa**ward way about it, all shortening it up does is like an earlier poster said is to keep the wastegate closed longer and build more boost.
