I recently bought a new to me 2003 7.3 F-250. The guy I bought the truck from had the gears changed to 4.10's. Would it be to my benefit to change the gears back to stock if I wanted to get the best gas mileage possible? The truck has a 6inch lift with 35 inch tires. Or what would be the best setup for maximum fuel economy? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am new to the diesel community. Thanks!!
That was another thought that I had. Looking to buy a chip very soon which should help with the fuel mileage a little bit. Just wanted to know if there would be a big difference between the stock gears vs. the 4.10's
