propane injection

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for getting a decent propane injection system. or possibly making my own if anybody could show me a good write up for that that would great. Thanks.

What will you be using it for mileage or racing?

I totally agree. Propane is a very bad idea

I wouldnt put propane on mine even for mileage. If you want relatively safe power go for nos. with nitrous, it will ignite instantly and will be the same effect as adding a larger turbo.

Whats a decent system to get i dont want anything big. How hard would it be to put together your own system?

the following is what you need to make your own kit
- nos bottle (10LBs common)
- nos soleniod
- nos nozzle
- nos lines (line from the bottle to the solenoid, and a line from to soleniod to the nozzle)
- Pack of jets
- depending on what kind of setup you want to engauge it (like a push button or the gas pedal) you will need those parts for those set ups to on whichever one you want.

Which one is best for your motor as far as not damaging, mpg and power, nitrous or water/meth, or is there other options also considering propane is out

im lost someone give reasons why propane it bad? not saying its good but lets give some reason, also whats the pros/cons of water/meth, nos, or propane???

propane = very high very unstable cyl pressures. which in turn equals blown motors. Nitrous is much much safer

i gotten no hp gains from the water meth on dyno

Propane = higher egt and unstable cyl pressure..... Meth = along the same lines as propane when done for power... On a psd it works best for cooling the egt using less meth and more water. More of a dependable towing mod. And as stated above the nos will help a smaller charger out

Jc whitney offered a lp kit at one time they did a install on a 7.3 in a four wheel mag issue a few years back... But I have heard similar stories about a guy in these parts with a dmax diong the same and blew up the engine and almost caught it on fire as well

Like already stated.

Get a tuner and then use NO2 (NOS is a BRAND NAME of nitrous) to take advantage of the extra fuel.

I would suggest getting a progressive controller because it allows your tuner to dial in exactly when it is injected.

got it, water/meth for cooling, propane = BAD, and N02 to help burn up extra fuel for more power
