hello.
just checkin the place out. i'm a master diesel tech for ford, have been with ford for 12 years. thought i'd see what kind of crazy rumors are out there about the new 6.4
they start and run nice, good power with some nice features. i am not looking forward to working on them though.
body removal will be required for 90% of any engine repairs.
dont stand near the exhaust. the talk of high temps is not just a rumor.
:welcome1: :welcome1: :welcome1: Tommcat. We can always use another fella with your kind of knowledge. I'm glad you like the site. Tell us about your rig and what you know to be true about the 6.4.
my truck is nothin special. 97 F250 with a full Banks kit.
what do you want to know about the 6.4? i like driving the one we have, repairs are going to be a nightmare if they end up being as big of a nightmare as the 6.0 due to the repair procedures. although they claim this time they got it right and it should be bulletproof. time will tell i guess
Well so far so good, but it's only been a month or so. Hopefully for everyone's sake they did get it right. There are a lot of disgruntled owners and mechanics out there.
Glad your with us, the more input we get from new members the better, and someone like yourself is great to have around for the additional knowledge you can bring to our site, don't be afraid to jump in with comments and suggestions, thats what we are all about here.
Gord.
