Ok guys, comming home tonight I decided to see what boost I could hit (very short burst) on the freeway. I am running all my mods listed below (no water meth) and cales 90hp tune. Temp was close to 91 degrees. I was doing 65 and laid into it. Quickly jumped to 42psi. Truck wanted to start to pull harder (probably the cam  ) but I was good and backed off :dunno: . Break in still.

So I am asking what you guys see for boost on those freeway burst. List your tune also. :thumb:

42 is much higher than stock, or even "stock w/tuning" I would assume because of cam and new larger turbo, and fuel system, you will be seeing higher boost. What are you EGT's during this type of run?

I was only at 1100 degrees max........... so i am hoping with erics tune that it will be close to 50psi..... my buddy with his HO turbo from elite, 190s and erics race hits 50+psi all day long

Elite's HO is larger than your stage 2 though isn't it? I would think with your ported heads and cam that your boost numbers should be slightly lower than what your buddy sees. Better airflow, less resistance, cooler exhaust temps, same or better power. I'm curious to what the effective range is on your new charger, Ie; turbo map. I'd be surprised if your new Xrace file makes much more boost, if any, than the 90hp Cale tune.

I'm not sure.:dunno: My gage stops @ 35 and i wrapped it past it the other night. All stock turbo running DJ's Looney tune. Trying to find a new turbo now. Kinda wanna trade my 16x10 Ultra Magnum chrome rims for one but idk yet. I don't wanna blow this turbo apart until i find an aftermarket one.

Boost really is just a measurement of resistance. That's all "pressure" is anyway. Resistance to flow. For example i see 32 tops on extreme tune from Eric, but i put down 410 or so RWHP. I see other tuners getting 35 psi plus with stock turbo and injectors, but not much more hp, so all in all your just overboosting the engine, and creating more heat/then power. Really it all about power/tq and being able to create the most with the least of amount of fuel/boost, heat is the trick...
