Just kidding! Welcome to Powerstroke.org tgentry - I would have said ignition too but since that's not it I'll let some of the other's on here give some ideas.
the actuator rod betwen the ingnition cylender and the ignition switch be broken......there is a metal rod that is fixed in one of the plastic actuators....and then pushes the other one at the pivot point for the tilt.....this metal rod comes out. those columns are not that fun to tear apart, even when you know how to do it........i personally would take it to someone if i had never done this before........ it also could be that the gear that runs the actuator is stripped on the plastic part, causing it not to stay in run........the problem is probably internal to the column though....Marc
I think you need to check the wires at the ing. switch. You have two red with green tracers. One is hot in start, the other is hot in run. If both are right then you have a open in the run wire between the switch and splice s-218(I think). best of luck.
