just put a set of head studs on it and then u wont have any worries blowin a head, and delete the egr cooler, then add monster power and smile

blown heads is usually from overboostin your truck and when u go about buyin a programmer and get an sct, they have custom tunes and they will actaully make you tunes to where ur factory heads can withstand the power from the tune without having problems with ur head gaskets, just make sure u let the person know whose tunin ur truck that u dont have head studs

Eric over at Innovative has great tuning. But beware, 6.0 trucks can blow gaskets even in stock form. Some tuned trucks run 100K miles at 400 RWHP and don't blow. A lot depends on the driver and your maintenance routine. But if you tune your truck, it is best to stud it and delete the EGR. It's best to do this if you tow heavy also.

This is for stock headbolts only.

Tighten the head bolts in the following sequence.
Tighten bolts 1 through 10 to 88 Nm (65 lb-ft).
Tighten bolts 1 through 10 to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
Tighten bolts in sequence 1 through 10, clockwise 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts in sequence 1 through 10, a second time, clockwise 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts in sequence 1 through 10, a third time, clockwise 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts 11 through 15 to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Tighten bolts 11 through 15 to 31 Nm (23 lb-ft).
