Is it possible to make about 500 550 horse outta a 6.0 and be able to drive it everyday, pull a trailer, but still have it last 200,000 miles. This is just a question Ive had for a while because I no a guy who had a 7.3 and at 200,000 miles he had it done up and got around 500 hp outta it and drove it another 200,000 till he lost a valve. It was never rebuilt either and this is not a bull**** story. Although he lost his rear end and tranny and few times but no motor problems.

Reliable and High Horsepower don't go in the same sentence lol

There's a guy that has an over 600hp 6.0L and far as I know he just drives it. There's a bunch.

Sure is. Studs, EGR delete 190cc injectors, custom tuning and a VGT SS turbo will get you there. Great combo. And still daily drivable Also an Air dog fuel pump

wouldn't you need some more fuel as well?

Yeah once the egr is gone the 6.0 is a really great engine. That is the root to all the problems.

Not with an egr and without headstuds.

This guy isn't gonna be building power without HEAD-STUDDING it, and DITCHING THE EGR, and fixing the TURBO, so it'll all be set.

thats true. some are great and some arent. some fail totally stock and others mod them up and they last a good while

i have to say (knock on wood) my truck has been very good to me. anything that broke was a result in whatever i was doing. i cant blame the truck

FYI Cummins blow up just as much as powerstrokes do. Dodge owners dont openly say it too often though
